Unfriendly Delay Both Ways
On July 2, 2014 I flew from Newark to New Orleans UA 1094T. The flight ended up being 6 hours delayed. We sat on the plane for a very long time before the crew would allow us to walk around (very unsafe, that's how people get bloodclots). It took some time to obtain the complimentary water once a flight is delayed. The captain continuously updated us with no information just a bunch of "aaawww I'm not sure when we're leaving. Aaaww I'm not sure what's going on ?" Very annoying and scary knowing that this is the individual who is suppose to be safely taking me to my destination. Not a very friendly crew either. We ended up getting to New Orleans after midnight, which meant we paid for a night at the hotel and we were not even there. Returning from New Orleans to Newark UA 1552N we boarded the flight to then be told it would be a 6 hour delay. As we sat on the plane the captain said he would speak to head quarters to see if it would be shorter (he was more knowledgeable than the previous and there was empathy in his voice). The flight attendants quickly got us the water but managed to suck her teeth at me when I refused it. After about 10 minutes on the plane we were told we had to get off with all our belongings. Somehow the flight went from delaying 6 hours to 4 hours (thank goodness). Ended up getting in at 11pm. This was a very horrible and scary experience. I wanted to know do you all offer any compensation ?
