Fees for calling to make a reservation - Darcy McGee

On May 5, 2017 I tried to get a flight from Minneapolis to Denver.
I saw deals on Just Fly which turned out to be a nightmare! (Advertised fares on their website, so I booked it. I didn't work it said the deal needed to be called in. I called to get that same flight I tried to get it. When it came time for the confirmation number I was told that that fare was no longer at the advertised price. For an extra $ 53.00 I was told then they book this flight. So then they asked me if I still wanted this flight. I stated NO you advertised a price at two different times and didn't honor your advertised price!
After 4 hours of trying I finally was told to contact United Airlines directly.
I called the United Reservation line. I explained to the lady all of the above.
I specifically asked her if there way a fee for booking this reservation, she stated yes there is it's $ 25.00. I explained that I was disabled and had such a hard time booking my flight on the United website. She then said she could wave the fee, she felt bad I had to go through all that and the difficulty the United website.
When I checked my Bank card there was a charge of $ 25.00.
I then called united customer service to get this all figured out and he said (allegedly) at that time they could not find that transcription and I was told to go to www.united.com/feedback I felt like the person" Travis" didn't want to help me, also he didn't take much time to even look. It took me longer to explain to him about this fee then it did for him to check on this matter. This is not about the money component, it's about being assured of one thing and then to find that once again the words were not honored.
So here I am.
It should not take so many steps to make a very simple reservation and then when a mistake happens one should NOT have to be taking so much time to correct another's mistake.
I'm starting to think that United Airlines purposely make it difficult to book reservations so they can charge people a fee for Calling in for that service. Shouldn't it apart of good customer service, to kindly help their customers in need of help?
Perhaps, I'll think twice before flying with United Airlines
