United Airlines Complaint

Fligth cancellation -complaint for damages
This is to file for letter of complaint to the Management of United Airlines for the inconvenience and damages it has caused to me and my friend last June 21.
We flew from the Philippines to join a very important seminar in Orlando. We have travelled for 10 hours from Phils banking that we will be able to join our session early morning of Saturday, June 22 based on the well planned schedule we had for our seminar.
Tired but looking forward to flying on the night of June 21, flight details below, our flight to Orlanda was cancelled around 25 minutes before the boarding time with our luggage already checked in.
There were no early flights direct to Orlando and we were given a connecting flight to Houston with a 4 hour waiting time for our flight to Orlando, thus missing our very important session on Saturday, June 22. We paid almost P100K or US 2270 for the 4 day seminar and losing one day means a lot to ask plus the inconvenience it has created. We had no clothes to wear on that night.
We were given a free accommodation on that night with dinner and breakfast vouchers. We were not able to use the vouchers in the hotel because restaurants were already closed.
We almost slept for barely 3 hours since our flight was very early the following day and arrived late at night at around 9:30 PM in Orlando.
The cancellation definitely ruined our schedule and created a lot of anxiety and in convenience on our part.
We demand appropriate compensation for this inconvenience.
There are 2 of us in this flight, myself Monina C. Macavinta and Helen Gaela.
