United Airlines Review

A great experience on a forgettable flight
I was on a United flight on Friday night, March 24, 2017 from Columbus, Ohio to Houston. The weather in Houston was bad, and we were not allowed to leave Columbus until the weather in Houston improved.
After a 40 minute delay, we were allowed to board the flight, and off we went. The plane was small, and there was only one flight attendant, Karla Schultz-Lancaster. She was amazing.
I fly every week, starting on Sunday afternoon and returning home on Friday nights, typically. I have seen attendants who put on a good face, but their hearts aren't in it. Not so with Karla. She greeted me as I entered with a big, genuine grin, welcoming me to her flight. And not just me--everyone who boarded. Now yes, most all attendants do, but typically not more than a cursory smile and 'welcome aboard'. If was as if she was throwing a party for herself, and she was so happy I attended. That fact that she is absolutely stunning certainly didn't hurt my appraisal of her greeting.
She was alone serving a full and bumpy flight, but she absolutely made the most of it. It seemed as though it was her pleasure to do whatever she possibly could to ensure everyone was satisfied. The delay was obviously not her fault, but she seemed to take it personally--she wanted to make up for the fact that her passengers had been put out.
I was anything but put out. I was charmed.
I hope that every United flight I take will include Mrs. Schultz-Lancaster, but knowing that is not possible, I hope all your attendants can learn from her. She was terrific.
