United Airlines Flight #1934 from Washington Dulles to DFW

First flight was delayed because of "late" crew arriving to work plane, then pilot decided brakes needed to be changed so another delay for aircraft maintenance (isn't this done via FAA Maintenance guidelines on a constant basis/schedule; if not, that's a scary thought), so my 5:15 flight was delayed to 5:30, then 6:30, then 7:30, then 8:30. Finally they told us we would leave at 9:00, hurry get on, then we sat at the gate for another 2 hours, then because we never got clearance to leave the gate (couldn't we have had priority to fly out instead of cargo planes!!!!!), then the flight crew were "illegal" and couldn't fly any more, so we were hustled out and then had to fend for ourselves in trying to rebook ourselves another flight. The only saving grace was United Gate Agent, Cindy Ahima, who stayed with her gate (C-9) and helped as many people as she could! She was the lone gate agent that stayed to help anyone at United (where were the other 2 that were there initially). Cindy Ahima is the type of people United needs to employ, she did her job and then 200% more!!!! United needs to have more of those type of people in scheduling!!!! It all their fault for not figuring out what needs to be done, they need to quit sitting on their hands!!!!! And DO THEIR JOB!!!!!
