Customer carelessness - United Airlines - flight tickets


Recently I went through a whole ordeal with united airlines that included multiple flight delays and cancellations, demeaning treatment by their representatives and outright lying to me when it came to charging me for the luggage which i had to buy in order to replace the luggage which they misplaced (I was on a two part business trip with luggage going missing in a transition from newark to calgary, one of their workers told me that it reached London, go figure...). The cherry on top was when one of their workers told me to take an M-trak train (with 4 suitcases on me) while I had only 2 hours to reach Newark from Baltimore, so I will not miss my connection flight (due to a delayed united airlines flight) but that I need to pay 40 USD for a ticket. When I commented to that representative that this was not a feasible solution given how encumbered I was and how little time I had for this transition he told me "but Sir, you're in economy class, what do you expect is to do?"

Finally, I've emailed a detailed complaint letter (referral KMM24976019V23255L0KM) on the 23rd of February and I haven't gotten any response yet, nor do I expect to get any at this point. So there you have it - the worse service I ever got from any airliner (and I definitely have my fair share of experience in traveling). I can only hope that someone in United will see this response and answer it.
