United airlines reservation


We booked a flight directly with United on a United flight that the shared with Swissair. the first leg of the flight was on Swissair so we could not get boarding passes until we got to Basel Airport. When the agent tried to send our luggage through to LAX she found our ticket number issued by United did not exist nor did the flight number. She could not reach United by phone/ She told us if we hurried we might find someone at the United desk before they left foe the day in 5 minutes. The people there wer less than helpful telling us that they were only there to check people in. Luckily we had limited international calling and could reach someone at United in the US. They told us i fact that flight did not exist but they found us through our MileagePlus accounts. We spent almost an hour trying to secure this information and no one ever apologized for the inconvience or worry that they caused us.
